We can help you prepare for marriage in one or more ways:

• Most of our clients are opting to use our pre-marriage questionnaire as a starting point to get them talking and thinking together. Once they have completed the pre-marriage questionnaire, we send you both feedback on your responses. Follow the 'Pre-marriage Questionnaire' and 'What To Do' links opposite.
• You could have one or more sessions with us where we could use our marriage and pre-marriage counselling experience to explore key issues with you. However, at Connections, we offer you the possibility to do this via email, secure chat, or telephone as well as the more traditional face-to-face. Just drop us a line letting us know which medium you want to use, and we will get back to you.
• You could combine both of the above. Once you have completed the questionnaire and received feedback, you could then book one or more sessions using the medium of your choice to follow-up any issues raised in the feedback.

Some of the keys to a successful marriage are:

• a commitment to stay and work at the relationship for as long as possible rather than run at the earliest opportunity
• the ability to understand and exploit differences
• the ability to forgive and to compromise

As you plan to go into a marriage, anything that gives you knowledge about yourself, your partner, and your relationship is likely to be powerful and important to you. In our pre-marriage counselling we want to help you understand more about the likely issues that may arise, and work with you to develop strategies for overcoming problems. If you are forewarned, you are less likely to be surprised, and more likely to be ready with a winning solution.
